In no point in time has water privatization ever provided anything beneficial to the people that have lived in the respective community in which the water is located. MSD (Metropolitan Sewerage District) is trying to do just that, privatize our very water source. Whether they intend to use our water for fracking, to pollute it, or to sell it back to us, we, the citizens of Asheville, cannot and will not tolerate the very theft of our own water.

Working with CELDF, Occupy Asheville has a drafted a city ordinance making it illegal for any company to privatize our water source and we want YOU to help us to collect the required signatures to put this ordinance up for referendum before it is too late for all of us.
